Making art in a natural paradise | Tasmanian Artist Residency | MFA research | How I prepared
Join me as I prepare and pack up for my first artist residency at ‘All that We Are’ in Tasmania. In this video, I take you through my first week of the two-week residency at a stunning location on the north coast Tasmania, near Hobart.
I show you how I troubleshoot what to take, for both painting and sketching, and strategise how to bring home wet oil paintings.
I'll bring you inside the archives where I’m doing art historical research for my master’s in visual art and bring you to lush forests and magical caves full of artistic inspiration.
And then I settle into the studio to make artwork inspired by my beautiful natural surroundings from my archival and nature research.
