SHIPPING OF ORIGINAL ARTWORK

Because of drying time, varnishing and a slew of other operational reasons in my studio, it may take up to two weeks for us to package and dispatch your work. Transit time will vary according to where your painting is travelling to.

All gallery-wrapped canvases up to a size of 31 x 31 inches will be shipped intact, both within Australia and overseas. Paintings over this size going to an Australian destination will mostly be shipped as-is, but will need to be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Larger works on canvas over 31 x 31 inches will be removed from their stretcher bars and shipped rolled in a sturdy tube. This happens for two reasons:

  1. It is far safer for a large painting to travel this way (yes, I have experienced the heartbreak of paintings being damaged in transit).

  2. It is by far the most cost-effective way to ship large works. The money you will save on shipping will more than cover the cost of having it re-stretched by your framer.

SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout according to package weight, distance and packaging materials. On the odd occasion where the calculation is inaccurate (as shipping costs often change without our knowledge), we may need to contact you via email to arrange additional payment.

AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING CATEGORIES AND PRICES

Australian Small Parcel — $15 This shipping option is for all prints, works on paper and single items of Manque Design clothing. Sizes in this category are A2 (16.53 x 23.3 inches / 42 x 59.4 cm) or smaller. Depending on the size of your purchase and where you live, your artwork or print will be carefully wrapped and shipped either flat in a rigid mailer or rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.

Australian Medium Parcel — $55 This shipping option is for smaller stretched canvases measuring 12" x 16" (31cm x 40.5cm) or below. Artworks will be carefully packaged and shipped via Australia Post in a sturdy box.

Australian Large Parcel — $70 This shipping option is for larger stretched canvases measuring from 16" x 20" (40.6 x 50.8cm) up to and including 20" x 30" (50.8cm x 76.2cm). Artworks will be carefully packaged and shipped via Australia Post in a sturdy box.

Australian Extra Large Parcel — $120 This shipping option is for extra large stretched canvases measuring from 34" x 38" (86cm x 97cm) up to and including 30" x 48" (76.2cm x 121.9cm). Artworks will be carefully packaged and shipped via Australia Post in a sturdy box.

Courier — TBA This shipping option is for extra large stretched canvases measuring from 36" x 48" (92cm x 122cm) to 40" x 40" (101cm x 101cm) or larger. Artworks will be carefully packaged and shipped in a sturdy box via a professional courier service. Prices for this category are calculated individually and invoiced separately to your purchase.

Any dimensions outside of those listed here will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CATEGORIES AND PRICES

International Small Parcel — $55 This shipping option is for all prints and works on paper. Sizes in this category are A2 (16.53 x 23.3 inches / 42 x 59.4 cm) or smaller. Depending on the size of your purchase and where you live, your artwork or print will be carefully wrapped and shipped either flat in a rigid mailer or rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.

International Medium Parcel — $75 This shipping option covers two categories:

  1. Smaller stretched canvases measuring 12" x 16" (30.5 x 40.6cm) or below, carefully packaged and shipped in a sturdy box.

  2. Canvas works larger than 20" x 30" (50.8cm x 76.2cm) up to and including 36" x 48" (91.44cm x 121.92cm), which will be removed from their stretcher bars and sent rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube.

International Large Parcel — $95 This shipping option is for larger stretched canvases measuring from 16" x 20" (40.64 x 50.8cm) up to and including 20" x 30" (50.8cm x 76.2cm). Artworks will be carefully packaged and shipped in a sturdy box.

International Extra Large Parcel — $120 This shipping option is for canvases too large to ship in a box overseas — any canvas larger than 20" x 30" (50.8cm x 76.2cm) and up to 48" x 60". We will carefully remove the canvas from its stretcher bars and roll it for shipping in a sturdy PVC tube.

Any dimensions outside of those listed here will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

INSURANCE

Please note that due to current restrictions, we are unable to provide insurance for parcels travelling from Australia to the United States. All US parcels are shipped express, which is a superior and very reliable service — we have had very few problems over the years and are confident your parcel will arrive safely.

For Australia and all other international destinations, please note that insurance is not routinely included in the shipping cost calculated at checkout. If you would like your item insured, please email us and we will arrange this where possible and send a separate invoice for the cost. For commissions and large or high-value paintings, we will require insurance and will issue an additional invoice to cover this.

CORRECT ADDRESS

We triple-check all parcels to ensure they carry the correct address and labelling as supplied by you. Please note that we cannot be responsible for parcels that are lost or undeliverable due to an incorrectly supplied address.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS & DUTIES

Please note that we are not responsible for any customs or duty fees associated with shipping to your country.

DISPUTES

We do our utmost to ensure your art arrives safely. If you experience any difficulties relating to your order, please know that we will do our very best to resolve it where it is within our power to do so. Please remember to be kind — we are doing our best, and there are limits to what we can do when it comes to postal services.

MANQUE DESIGN — SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping

All Manque Design orders are shipped via Australia Post. We charge AUD $15 for orders up to 1kg. If your order exceeds 1kg, we will contact you by email to arrange additional payment before dispatch.

In most cases, orders are received within 5–8 business days of shipping. Bulky items or deliveries to remote locations may take longer. Orders are dispatched during business hours, Monday to Friday.

Please note that Parcel Post is not registered post, however all parcels carry a tracking number so your delivery can be monitored. Lost or stolen parcels are not covered by insurance.

Manque Design products cannot be shipped internationally at this time.

Returns & Exchanges

You must email us at info@susannethercote.com and receive written approval before sending any item back to us. Do not return items without prior approval — unapproved returns will not be accepted.

We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of the date of delivery, provided items are in their original condition — unworn, unaltered, unwashed, and with all tags still attached. Items received after the 30-day period will not be accepted.

Once your return has been approved, please contact us at info@susannethercote.com to arrange next steps. All deliveries include a Returns Form — please complete and enclose this form with your returned items. Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Exchange items will only be dispatched once return shipping payment has been received. Please note that original postage charges are non-refundable, and a $6.50 restocking fee applies to all items returned for refund rather than exchange.

In the unlikely event that you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us at info@susannethercote.com within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement. If a replacement is unavailable, you are welcome to choose another suitable item. If no suitable replacement exists, a full refund will be issued.


