'Minimal Blue VI' Watercolour and Mixed Media on A2 Cotton Paper
‘Minimal Blue VI’ is an original watercolour and mixed-media painting on beautifully heavy (300gsm), fully archival, French cotton paper. It is A2 in size (16.53 x 23.3 inches or 42 x 59.4 cm and is unframed but will fit many commonly available frames with an A2 mat.
As spring started to bloom after the very long winter of 2020, this series of watercolours with a minimal blue palette, emerged in my sketchbooks that I then expanded into a full series. It was such joy to work away on these very detailed paintings out on the verandah, while enjoying the first flush of spring blooms! Featuring gorgeous detailed botanical line work in both ink and acrylic paint, this graceful painting is an elegant and calming compliment to any room.
Paintings on paper are a brilliant way to own a piece of original art that is simple and inexpensive to ship no matter where you are in the world. As this is a mixed media painting.
