HOW TO FINISH DIFFICULT PAINITNGS! 20 tips I use in my own art practice

This month I’ve been working toward finishing a large painting that has been sitting in my hallway for over a year.  I thought you might find it useful to hear about how I approach completing difficult paintings like this, so I’ve distilled down what I’ve learnt over the past 10 years of painting professionally into 20 tips.

Join me in this video as I work on various stages of this painting in my studio and hear about techniques I use in my art own art practice to negotiate my way through this tricky stage of painting.  Spoiler- this one is still not finished, but I have broken through to the other side and it’s become really clear what the finishing touches will be.

I’ve also created a downloadable PDF with all 20 tips so that you can refer to them later when you might be tackling the completion of your own difficult painting. Just pop on over here to join my studio newsletter and I’ll send it out to you.

Enjoy! And if you have any more amazing tips, please leave them in the comments on YouTube!
