Let’s Paint At Beautiful Lola!

In this relaxing afternoon live workshop, you will join me as we turn the award winning restaurant ‘Lola’ at the Provincial Hotel in Ballarat into our watercolour art studio.

This gorgeous space will be where you’ll relax and unwind as I teach you my signature style of painting loose watercolour florals, which are the perfect gateway into this glorious medium

Over our three hours together, I will teach you the basics of watercolour. I’ll show you how I build my floral imagery through layering my painting and how to achieve a variety of marks and atmospheric effects.

You’ll leave with hands-on experience in how to use your brushes to create a variety of shapes, marks and texture. You’ll know how to blend colours into magical combinations. And you’ll be taking home two or more completed paintings.

This workshop is 100% suitable for both beginner and experienced painters. So if you have never painted before, know that you’ll be well looked after. And if you have painted before, then be prepared to learn a new, free and loose approach to watercolour.

**Please note that you will be required to bring some art supplies with you that will be an additional expense to the workshop fee. These will include a few watercolour brushes, watercolour paper, a palette and a few tubes of paint. I’m currently researching some affordable options and will email participants a supply list well in advance of the workshop..

Your booking includes Tuition with Susan Nethercote and some paint that will be made available to you on the day.

*Please note that there is a supplies list being prepared and that you will need to purchase and bring some brushes, paper and palette with you. We will be in touch with you about these items closer to the workshop time.
